Altus Football has been made possible by the Kashif Siddiqi Foundation.
As a young man, Kashif Siddiqi broke through many barriers to become one of only a handful of British South Asian footballers to make it at professional and international level. The teams he has played for include Arsenal Youth, Pakistan (in the under-23s at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the senior team at the South Asian Championships) and Northampton Town. For Kashif, faith and football have always gone together. They are a great source of inspiration and strength as he travels the globe playing the game he loves.
In 2011, supported by the Professional Footballers’ Association and the FA, Kashif founded the Kashif Siddiqi Foundation. His goal? To get more young British South Asians on the pitch and give them the tools to live healthier lives off it. Now, with the support of his team and the Foundation, he’s taking the next big step forward: launching Altus Football.
As well as football, Kashif is also passionate about his charity work. His goodwill has been recognised by world figures including Prince William, former prime minister David Cameron, HRH Ali of Jordan, Pope Francis and the United Nations.
Altus Football is powered by a dedicated team of professionals with a broad range of experience in coaching and sports management. The team represents a range of backgrounds and skills but shares a common goal – to provide more opportunities for young people to stay in football.
